2050 Vision: Final Work
Updated: Apr 22, 2023
Group critique: why this now?
I will receive feedback from classmates to help refine ideas and get inspired by other's work as well as their research inspiration. I will also be able to identify my strength and weakness. I can check if I am still on track according to the brief. This will help me finalize ideas before Cycle 4 and I can look back and experiment to make a 3D Model.

Final Work
Fig.1: My work, Gold Sunrise Fig.2: My work, Embedded Jewel Fig.3: My work, Space Bubble Fig.4: My work, White Utopia
These are my final pieces of work that I would like to take forward in Cycle 4. Although, they are completely different in material, technique and drawing, they still follow the concept 'feeling of Utopia' which relates to the brief. From this cycle my strengths are-
Using watercolors
Using black cards (emphasizing shadows)
Gold paint to highlight structures
Using white fine-liners
weakness-
Work better with Geometry and isometric shapes
Using a particular color palette
Reflection
From this cycle, I was able to identify where my strength and weaknesses lie. The group critique also helped me take inspiration from my peer's art style/work as well as receive feedback on mine.
In Cycle 4-
Look back on my chosen work as well as the brief.
Focus on my theme 'feeling of Utopia'.
Taking help of MidJourney for visuals.
Draw more 3D sketches (isometric/geometric).
Make models to help sketching (improve observational drawing).
Final Model Outcome
My final outcome is a place between woods where the climate and environment is influenced by the season of autumn. It is made out of organic forms and shapes with focus on balance and unity.
Digital Mood Board below explains the clear concept.

Final watercolor drawings.
Final design

Fairy fantasy is a place which is beyond human imagination. It does a further exploration into different futuristic possibility which is the basic fascination of Vision 2050. Instead of biophilic designs, I wanted to use nature itself to create a space which looks back into the beginning of humankind. Where nature was the most important tool for life.
Reflection
Through this module I was able to learn and discover new techniques. I learnt to take risks as well as experiment with different materials. In this module I learnt to use restrictions to my advantage which bettered my creative thinking. From black and white drawings to model making, it has been a long and bright journey of gaining knowledge. During this module I rediscovered my passion for art which I will carry into the coming years.
Without critiquing and feedbacks I would not have been able to improve my skills and for this I am thankful to my tutor, Olivia.
